Beyond The Pale
A Revolutionary Book
From the traditional approaches of medicine, science, and psychology we have been able to make little sense of various psychiatric conditions and mental illnesses. With the perspective Reesor puts forth in BTP, we are able to explain many previously unexplainable phenomena: from dreams and sleep paralysis to schizophrenia and mass hysteria, from panic attacks and hyperventilation to postpartum depression and even gender dysphoria.
In truth it is all rather simple—we have neglected what is obviously most important. In favour of drugs, therapy, and psychosocial explanations we have forgotten that we live in physical bodies that need nourishment: we need oxygen, blood, and energy.
There is a fundamental problem with how doctors diagnose anemia. They measure the concentration of hemoglobin, but not the total amount. Many people, especially young females, can't produce enough hemoglobin, so their body also holds less plasma, thus maintaining the concentration, but lowering the total blood volume. Those with true "An-Haima," a lack of blood, simply can't get enough oxygen for their brain and body to produce the energy they need for good mental and physical health, but their doctors don't know it.
